PQL Recalls High Bay Linear LED Light Fixtures
In February 2026, PQL, Inc. announced a recall of approximately 186,520 High Bay Linear LED light fixtures due to a fire hazard and a risk of serious burn injuries. The safety hazard has been linked to a defect in the retaining pins that hold the LED board in place.
What is the Problem?
The retaining pins used to secure the LED board inside some units can degrade over time, allowing the LED board to come loose inside the fixture. A loose LED board poses a significant fire hazard to homes and businesses where the fixtures are installed. According to the CPSC:
“The retaining pins used to secure the LED board inside some units can degrade allowing the LED board to come loose inside the fixture, posing a fire hazard.”
