Martina Mangoes Recalled Over Salmonella Risk
In August 2026, Panorama Produce recalled 302 boxes of size-9 Martina® mangoes that were sent to certain Walmart stores in 4 states due to a possible risk of Salmonella.
The mangoes were sold at select Walmart stores in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania between August 10 and August 21, 2026.
No illnesses were confirmed when the recall was announced. Even so, unreported cases are common with Salmonella, since many people never get a laboratory test to confirm their diagnosis.
What is the Problem?
The FDA inspected the farm where the mangoes were grown and a sample was positive for
Salmonella. Those sampled mangoes never entered the U.S., but because the Martina® mangoes were also grown on that farm, Panorama Produce issued a precautionary recall.
According to the recall:
“The recall was initiated after FDA sampling found Salmonella in mangoes grown on the same farm but were not distributed into U.S commerce. The recalled mangoes and the sampled mangoes share the same source, therefore Panorama Produce has initiated a recall.”

What Should I Do?
