What is the Problem?
BD Vision Rock Climbing Harnesses are lightweight harnesses that are designed for technical alpine and ice climbs.
According to the recall, the material used in the harnesses “can degrade over time and fail to support the climber, posing a fall hazard resulting in serious injury or death.”

How To Identify BD Vision Climbing Harnesses
The recall involves all BD Vision Climbing Harnesses. They have the name “Black Diamond” printed on one of the leg loops. The name “Vision” is printed on the other leg loop.
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled Black Diamond Vision Climbing Harnesses were sold nationwide from January 2018 through February 2025 for about $175.
They were sold at stores like Liberty Mountain, Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) and other specialty outdoor stores nationwide, and online at www.blackdiamondequipment.com, www.backcountry.com and www.evo.com.
