February 11, 2020 — Blendtopia Products LLC has recalled several types of frozen Superfood Smoothie Kits that were sold at Whole Foods due to a risk of Listeria contamination.
Blendtopia recalled nearly 30,000 cases of 7-ounce, frozen, pre-portioned Superfood Smoothie Kits.
The products were sold nationwide at Whole Foods Market, Amazon.com, and other stores.
No illnesses were reported. The recall was issued after Listeria was detected during quality-control, but the company believes the problem is limited to a single ingredient.
The recalled Blendtopia products include “Glow”, “Detox”, “Energy”, “Immunity” and “Strength” Superfood Smoothie Kits, with best-by dates of July 2021, Oct 2021, and Nov 2021.
Blendtopia is asking consumers who bought these products to discard them immediately or return them to the place of purchase.
