Cooluli Minifridges Recalled After Fire and Burn Reports

In August 2026, Cooluli recalled about 250,000 minifridges after reports of fires and significant property damage. The problem has been linked to an electrical switch that can short-circuit, which poses serious fire and burn hazards.

The recall only involves older units that were manufactured with an internal power supply and two power input ports, AC and DC. The newer models only have a single single DC port. The recalled minifridges were sold under the Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty and Vibe Series names. They came in a wide range of colors and patterns.

What Is the Problem?

Cooluli described the problem on their own recall page. This recall informs users that on certain older units, there is a selector switch that toggles between “Cooling” and “Warming.” This switch can potentially overheat and short-circuit.

The recall posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is also clear about the hazard: “The recalled minifridges’ electrical switch can short circuit, posing fire and burn hazards.”

How Many People Were Injured?

Cooluli said it received 19 reports of the minifridges smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating, or catching on fire. Those incidents resulted in:

  • Property damage over $80,000+
  • 1 report of a person who suffered a smoke inhalation injury
  • No deaths were reported.

How To Identify Recalled Minifridges

Consumers should immediately check their unit to see if it is affected by the recall:

  • 10-Liter and 15-Liter models
  • All units have the name “Cooluli” on the front
  • The recall only includes minifrdiges with batch numbers between 1535 and 1545, or batch numbers between 1200000 and 1202080 (you can find the batch number on a label inside the door)
  • Two power ports (AC and DC) on the back
  • Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty and Vibe Series
  • They were sold at Amazon.com and Cooluli.com from January 2019 through October 2024 for $80 to $120
