CuddleCubs Teething Toy Sets Recalled for Deadly Choking Hazard

In July 2026, YouRfocus recalled about 106 CuddleCubs Creations Baby Highchair Teething Toy Sets that were sold on Amazon due to a serious choking hazard.

What Is the Problem With the CuddleCubs Pull String Teether?

The pull string teether does not meet the mandatory federal standard for toys. The silicone strings are longer and thinner than the rules allow. This is a safety hazard because the string can travel past the front of the mouth and reach the airway.

The CPSC describes the hazard this way:

“The recalled teething toy sets contain a pull string teething toy that violates the mandatory standard for toys because the silicone strings are smaller and longer than permitted. The strings can reach the back of a child’s throat and become lodged, posing a risk of respiratory distress and a deadly choking hazard.”

A teething toy is designed to be chewed and pulled at by an infant with no ability to judge risk. When a string is long enough to reach the throat and thin enough to slip past the gums, a child can put it there in a matter of seconds, and a parent standing a few feet away may not hear a sound.

How Many Children Were Injured?

No injuries have been reported in connection with the CuddleCubs recall.

However, there have been several recalls for other pull-string teething toys with nearly-identical designs. These other products have been linked to dozens of choking incidents. One of those products was linked to 32 choking incidents. If your child was injured, you are not alone.

At least 7 pull string teething toy recalls have been announced since January 2026, covering more than 259,000 units. The list below is from the CPSC recall notices:

June 2026: About 70,410 GOPO Pull-String Teething Toys, 3 reports of respiratory distress or choking
June 2026: About 24,400 LiKee teething toys, 10 choking reports
May 2026: About 102,430 Tiyol teething toys, 11 choking incidents
January 2026: About 49,410 AiTuiTui teething toys, 15 choking incidents and 2 reports of children biting off pieces of string
January 2026: About 6,800 Yetonamr Pull String Teething Toys, 32 choking incidents

What Should I Do If I Have One of These Toys?

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the pull string teething toys immediately and take them away from children. YouRfocus is offering a full refund.

To receive the refund, owners are asked to destroy the toy by cutting all silicone strings, writing “DESTROYED” in permanent marker on the main body of the toy, and emailing a photo of the destroyed toy to the manufacturer. The destroyed product should then be thrown away.

Before you destroy anything, photograph the toy and its packaging and keep your Amazon order record, because that documentation is evidence. Incidents can be reported to federal regulators at SaferProducts.gov.
