Signs & Symptoms of Listeria Food Poisoning
Food that is contaminated with Listeria may not look spoiled, but eating it can cause a serious and sometimes fatal food poisoning infection. The symptoms can take up to 70 days to appear after a person eats the contaminated food.
When symptoms do appear, they may include: vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women may have few symptoms, but suffer a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infection of the newborn baby.
