Mushie & Co. Recalls FRIGG Pacifiers
In January 2022, Mushie & Co. recalled about 333,725 FRIGG silicone pacifiers due to a choking hazards.
What is the Problem?
The base of the pacifier has a fine slit that can cause the nipple to detach from the plastic shield, posing a choking hazard, according to the recall notice posed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
How Many Injuries Were Reported?
No injuries or incidents of choking were reported, but Mushie & Co. said it had received 8 reports of the silicone nipple detaching from the plastic shield. Hundreds more incidents were reported internationally.
“In addition, the manufacturer has received about 200 reports from outside the U.S. of the silicone nipple detaching from the plastic shield of the pacifier. No injuries have been reported.”
What Do They Look Like?
FRIGG silicone pacifiers were sold in two designs: Classic (round plastic shield) and Daisy (round scalloped plastic shield). They were sold in over 40 colors.The name “FRIGG” appears in raised letters on the handle of the pacifier shield.
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled pacifiers were sold at SpearmintLOVE, TJ Maxx, Lil’ Tulips, Olivia & Jade Company stores nationwide and online at www.mushie.com and www.Amazon.com from April 2021 through December 2021.
