Kohl’s Recalls SONOMA Chairs for Fall Hazard
In September 2021, Kohl’s recalled approximately 31,000 SONOMA Goods For Life® Ultimate Oversized Antigravity Chairs.
What is the Problem?
Kohl’s recalled the chairs because “the chair can break or collapse when weight is applied, posing a fall hazard.” There were 18 reports of the chairs breaking or collapsing, including 2 people who suffered minor injuries, according to the recall notice.
What Chairs Were Recalled?
The recall involves SONOMA Goods For Life® Ultimate Oversized Antigravity Chairs in numerous colors. They have an aluminum frame, a fabric seat/back, and a removable head pillow. They were sold from January 2019 through June 2021 at Kohl’s stores nationwide.
What Should I Do?
Kohl’s is asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled chairs and return them to the nearest Kohl’s store for a full refund (with receipt) or in-store credit (without receipt).
