July 24, 2020 — Target and The Manhattan Toy Company have recalled about 22,100 “Manhattan Ball” activity toys due to a choking hazard.
The recalled toys consist of a hard plastic center ball with 12 plastic tubes inserted into the center ball. There are 7 silicone teethers threaded onto the tubes.
Unfortunately, the tubes can detach from the center ball and release the silicone teethers, posing a choking hazard for young children.
Manhattan Toy said it has received 6 reports of the plastic tubes detaching from the center ball, including 2 reports where the silicone teether also detached.
One child was found with the silicone teether in their mouth after it came off. No injuries were reported.
The recalled toys can be identified by “The Manhattan Toy Company” and Lot Code 325700EL or 325700IL on the center ball.
They were sold exclusively at Target stores, and online at Target.com between July 2019 and June 2020 for about $10.
