Target Shower Stool Recall
On May 26, 2021, Target Corp. recalled about 58,500 Room Essentials® Shower Stools due to an injury risk. People who slip and fall off the shower stools may suffer injuries, such as:

- Sprains & strains
- Head or neck injuries
- Concussions
What is the Problem?
Target recalled the shower stools because they can become unstable or slippery during use. If the stools tip over, a user can fall and suffer serious injuries.
How Many Injuries Were Reported?
Target said it received 12 reports of people who fell off the recalled shower stools. At least 4 people were injured, including bruises, bumps and scratches, and 1 person suffered a sprained arm.
What Shower Stools Were Recalled?
The recall involves Target’s store-brand Room Essentials Shower Stools. The stools are white, 18 inches tall, have a 3-legged aluminum frame, and a plastic curved seat. The stools were sold with a hangtag with the Room Essentials® logo and Item Number 064-20-1091. They were exclusively sold at Target stores nationwide.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled shower stools, return them to any Target store, or contact Target for a full refund.
