Flaunt Chargers Recalled After 5 Fires and 2 Burn Injuries
In July 2026, iDecoz Inc. (a company that is also known as Flaunt) recalled about 1,400 Flaunt MagSafe Battery Chargers due to a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries.
What Is the Problem With These Power Banks?
The CPSC described the fire hazard in the official recall:
“The lithium-ion battery in the recalled power banks (chargers) can overheat and ignite, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards.”
The problem is that the lithium-ion battery inside the charger can potentially get too hot and catch on fire. This poses a serious risk of burn injuries, especially if the device is stuck to the back of your phone or in your pocket when it ignites.
How Many People Were Burned?
Flaunt said it has received 5 reports of the power banks overheating and catching fire. The reports include 1 burn to a consumer’s hand, 1 burn to a consumer’s arm, and 4 reports of minor property damage.
The recall involves about 1,400 chargers, making this a relatively small recall for phone chargers. The concerning fact is that 5 fires were reported, including burn injuries. If you were injured, you are not alone.
Which Flaunt Chargers Are Recalled?
The recall covers Flaunt MagSafe Battery Chargers with model number E33A. You can identify a recalled unit by these details:
- “FLAUNT” engraved on the front right side of the power bank
- A small circular button in the bottom center of the front side
- A back label marked “FLAUNT” and “Model: E33A”
- Colors: melon, black, lavender, and white
- About 3 by 2 by 0.25 inches in size, weighing around 3.2 ounces
- Sold online at flauntcases.com from May 2024 through April 2025 for about $65
How Do I Get a Refund for a Recalled Flaunt Charger?
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled power banks immediately. Flaunt is offering a full refund of the $65 purchase price by check, or an $80 store credit at flauntcases.com.
To register, consumers submit 2 photos at Flaunt’s recall page: one showing the front of the power bank marked “Recalled” with their initials and the registration date in permanent marker, and one showing the model number E33A on the back. Flaunt will then email disposal instructions, because recalled lithium-ion batteries present a greater risk of fire and cannot go in household trash or ordinary recycling.
