November 21, 2023 — Health officials are warning consumers to avoid certain Wilcox Ice Cream products that may be contaminated with Listeria.
The recall involves all flavors of Wilcox® ice cream, yogurt, and ice cream bars, as well as Leonardo’s® gelato with best-by dates between 9/24/24 and 11/14/24.
No illnesses were reported, but health officials in Vermont reported that one lot of the Super Premium Mint Chip flavor manufactured on November 14 tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
The products were distributed in retail stores and co-ops in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York.
Wilcox is asking consumers to take a picture of the top and sides of the container showing the best-by date and email the company for credit at AR@wilcoxicecreamvt.com.
