Jury Awards $289 Million in Roundup Lawsuit
In August 2018, a jury in San Francisco awarded $289 million to Dewayne Johnson, a groundskeeper for a school district who applied Roundup 20 to 30 times per year. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014 and is covered with lesions on his body.
What is Roundup Pro?
Roundup Pro® is a concentrated herbicide that is sold in 2.5-gallon containers to small-scale businesses. It is a non-selective post-emergent herbicide that kills the roots of weeds. Roundup Pro is advertised for industrial, turf and ornamental weed control.

Roundup Pro contains glyphosate, a toxic herbicide that was declared a “probable human carcinogen” (probably causes cancer in people) in 2015 by the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).

These lawsuits accuse Monsanto of ignoring evidence linking Roundup and cancer since the 1970s and failing to warn consumers about the risk.
